JULIA BROWNLEY ANNOUNCES 3RD QUARTER GRASSROOTS FUNDRAISING SUCCESS
Ventura County, CA – Following a successful week of candidate forums and community events, U.S. Congresswoman Julia Brownley (D-Westlake Village) today announced her campaign will be filing its September 30th finance report for 2014. The report shows Brownley raised $730,040 in the 3rd quarter of 2014 for her campaign, with over $896,000 cash on hand heading into the final weeks of the race.
“I am proud to have 6,880 individuals make over 12,000 contributions of $100 or less during the third quarter. These individuals join me in my fight to raise the minimum wage, expand the middle class, and stand up for a woman’s right to choose,” said Congresswoman Brownley.
“?Our third quarter fundraising success is a clear sign of our widespread grassroots support for an economic agenda that puts Ventura County women and families first.” said Jacob Dusseau, Brownley campaign manager. “?Meanwhile, former lobbyist Jeff Gorell is accepting well over $1M in support from far-right Tea Party SuperPACs funded by special interests and the Koch Brothers because they know Jeff will be another rubber stamp for their extreme agenda.”
Happy early St. Patrick’s Day from Ventura! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to join the Elks Lodge in their 29th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.
It was wonderful to see so many Ventura County residents turn out for the Planned Parenthood rally last week. There is no doubt that President Trump and the Republicans are hellbent on taking away a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions and to take back critical protections in current healthcare legislation. Our voices are being heard. We must continue to speak out.
